Winter Sports Meeting & Registration

All those interested in playing a Winter Sport please remember that you must register on FamilyID which is open now and attend the MANDATORY Winter Sports Meeting on Monday, November 18th at 7:00 pm. If you can not attend this meeting please make sure you see K. Burke or your coach prior to the meeting.

VIPS Job/Volunteer/Intern Board

Please check the VIPS Job/Volunteer/Intern board regularly for the latest updates on various opportunities. New this week is a job posting for Walmart (with potential for healthcare, cash bonuses and educational benefits). Please see the board for more details or stop by the VIPS office if you have any questions.

Senior Flag Football Team

Senior Flag Football Players practices will be Monday, November 18 and Wednesday, November 20. Both will be held at 2:30. Please meet in Ms. McClintock's room (1071) after school as we are still working out field availability.

Fall Sports Banquet

The Fall Sports Banquet will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 7:00 pm. Please plan to attend if you played a Fall Sport.

Junior Work Day

Attention Juniors and FHS Staff: Our annual Junior work day is scheduled for Saturday, November 23rd. Juniors--we need your support, sign up and volunteer. This is a great opportunity for both giving back to your community and class as well as getting any hours you might need. Staff--you really don't want to rake those leaves, make sure to sign up and have those Juniors do it for you. Contact Sue Dowling or Michelle Gregory to secure your time slot.

Volunteers Needed!!! (VIPS Elementary School Track Meet)

Volunteers Needed for VIPS Elementary School Track Meet -- Students, do you remember competing in the VIPS Elementary School Track Meet when you were younger? Now is your chance to be the "big kid" and you can help cheer for the elementary school students, hold the finish line ribbon and hand out their ribbons. Volunteers are needed for this year's event in the FHS Fieldhouse on Saturday, November 23, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Please stop by the VIPS office to sign up. Please run this request through Friday, November 15 Sticker Shock Volunteers Needed -- Volunteers are needed on Saturday, November 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m. to help adhere stickers to wine and beer bags in local liquor stores. You will meet at the Gosnold office in Homeport and then depart to assigned stores. Please stop by the VIPS office to sign up

Junior Work Day

As the leaves begin to pile up and you think about the yard work to come, LET US HELP!! Saturday, November 23rd will be theJunior Class Work Day. If you live in Falmouth or close by, and have some light yard work that needs tending to, we will provide the labor in the form of smiling Junior students. You will get 2 students for 2 hours for the amaning price of $40.00. If you want 4 students for 4 hours, no problem, just let us know and double the amount. If you are interested, please email myself (amckenzie@falmouth.k12.ma.us) , Sue Dowling (sdowling@falmouth.k12.ma.us) or Michelle Gregory (mgregory@falmouth.k12.ma.us). Let us know your address, what you need done, how many students, how long and if your prefer morning or afternoon. Looking forward to hearing from all of you and getting those yards cleaned up before the first snow.

A Homework Forum is being held on 12/3 at 6:30 pm in the Lawrence School library.

Freshman Parent Night--Thursday, November 21, 4:00 PM

United States Air Force

A recruiter from the United States Air Force will be in guidance after school on Thursday, November 21st. If you are interested in speaking to this recruiter come to guidance right after school on Nov 21st

Marines Recruiter

A recruiter from the Marines will be in guidance after school on Wednesday, December 11. Please stop by right after school if interested.

College Representatives

There will be college representatives visiting the Guidance department after school at 2:05 pm as follows: Wednesday, 12/11; University of Hartford. Please stop by Guidance if interested.

Elks Scholarships Available

Attention Seniors! There are two scholarships available from the Elks National Foundation. Check your school email, Naviance or stop by guidance for more information or go to elks.org. Elks Most Valuable Student: available to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. You do not have to be related to a member of the Elks. Deadline is November 5, 2019. Elks Legacy Scholarship: available to any high school senior who is a child or grandchild of a living Elk. Deadline is January 31, 2020.
