41st Annual Science & Engineering Fair
The 41st annual Falmouth Public Schools Science & Engineering Fair will be open to the public on Saturday, March 23nd from 10:00 am to noon in the FHS field house. Come see the amazing projects from your fellow FHS students, as well as students and teachers from all Falmouth Schools. Mr. Dubuque is also looking for any students or staff interested in judging the k-6 students. If you want to judge or have any questions, please see Mr. Dubuque.
Scholarship Association of Falmouth
Attention Seniors!!!--The application for Scholarhip Association of Falmouth is now available on Naviance. This is one application you fill our and you can qualify for over 50 scholarships. It must be turned in no later than 12pm on April 4th. NO EXCEPTIONS. Any questions, please see Guidance.
Artwork by AP Drawing & Painting Seniors Sophia Adelstein and Victoria Johnson is on display in the FHS Student Art Gallery from March 19th through April 2nd. There will be an artist's reception on Wednesday, March 27th from 2:15 pm to 4:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
Screening of the Documentary: ANGST
Anxiety Disorders are real, common and treatable. Let's talk about it. You are all invited for a viewing of the movie ANGST, followed by couselor and studetn presentations. Additionally, student anxiety support programs will be available and relevant materials will be shared with everyone. Hope everyone can join on Monday, March 25th in the FHS Auditorium.
A Cappella Fest
Please join us for A Capella Fest on Friday, April 5th in the FHS Auditorium at 7:00 pm. Soulfege will be joined by Extreme Measures from the University of Connecticut and the Suffolk Ramifications. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Taylor in the Chorus romm or at the door. Hope to see everyone there for this great event.
Dr. Samir Patel of the Coonamessett Farm Foundation
Great Opportunity--Dr. Samir Patel of the Coonamessett Farm Foundation, the grant's lead investigator, will be at FHS on Wednesday April 10th during Clipper Time to discuss his loggerhead turtle research and turtle tagging work. Cheryl Milliken was approached earlier this year by the Coonamessett Farm Foundation and the Cape Cod Foundation/Falmouth Fund to have students from some of our Science classes participate in an exciting grant opportunity involving the study of loggerhead turtles. Make sure to sign up for Clipper Time on for April 10th.
The Steamship Student Art Contest
The Steamship Authority invites local students to submit original artwork for its annual "Sail into Imagination" student art contest. Thirteen entries will be featured in the 2020 Steamship Calendar and displayed on the Steamship's website and selected ferries. All students from grades K-12 can participate. Entries due by Tuesday, April 30th.
