Senior Auction Tickets & Items.

Seniors: Make sure to buy your tickets for the Senior Auction on Sunday, February 10th. Tickets are $30.00 per person and available in Activities!!! Items are also being collected. Don't forget drop off those items and buy those tickets. Let's make this the most successful one yet!! Any questions, please see Mrs. McKenzie in Activities.

No Guff is coming!!

No Guff week is scheduled for January 28th thru February 1st. Watch for calendar events, spirit days and great activities to promote No Guff in our school and lives.

Course Selections (9th, 10th & 11th Grades)

As you are all aware, FHS has begun the course selection process for next year. Guidance Counselors will meet with grade 9, 10 & 11 students this week during Clipper Time to distribute course selection forms and to explain the process. Parents will have the opportunity to met with the high school department heads on Thursday evening, Januuary 24th, at 6:30 pm in the FHS Auditorium to reivew the 2019-20 Program of Studies. We hope you all will join us on Thursday evening and please remember to review and sign your child's course selection by January 31st.

Attention Juniors:::SAT Prep

Juniors-the Guidance department is sponsoring an after school SAT prep course beginning on February 27th. Registration forms are available in the Guidance office and on the Junior class table. There are only 27 students seats left, so please turn in our registration form before the February 1st deadline.

WHOI Scientist Presentation

Molly Curran, a WHOI engineer and part of WHOI's Dive and Discover expedition team which takes the robotic unmanned submersible Jason all over the world, will be here during Clipper Time on Wednesday, January 23rd to present her exciting work. The course is listed under Mary Gans, Enriching Students (GANS-WHOI Scientist-Dive & Discover with The Robotic Submersible Jason), and as many students as are interested are welcome to attend the presentation which will take place in the Auditorium.

Gifford Street Writers

The Gifford Street Writers will meet next Wednesday, January 23rd, to review submission to The Shoal. All members are welcome to attend and be a part of the editorial staff.

Jr. Prom Committee

Anyone interested in joining the Class of 2020 Prom Committee, please attend our first meeting, Wednesday, February 13th right after school in Guidance.

FHS Cabaret Night

FHS Cabaret Night will be Friday, February 8th at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. Any student is welcome to sing or play, solo or in a group. You will need to sign up with Mrs. Taylor and preform for her the week of the performance. Please see Mrs. Taylor with any questions.

Take The Shot

Take the Shot night brings together basketball and the importance of vaccinating against HPV, a virus that causes Cancer. This is a virus to which we are all exposed. A local non-profit, Team Maureen, has teamed up with our Girls Basketball team to help fight this cause. Poster are located around the school with further information. There is a t-shirt competition for each of the schools and a Take the Shot night on Friday, January 25th. Come and support the cause and FHS Girls Basketball.

Falmouth Theatre Guild

Falmouth Theatre Guild is looking for males to be a part of the ensemble of the musical "Nine to Five." Please see Ms. Stephens in room 1099 if you would like to join this fun cast.
